Since January 1st  2020 Weighpack International, the worldwide specialist in packaging solutions for technical and hardware products, has a new CEO and owner. After careful consideration from both sides Andries Kout, who founded the company 45 years ago, has passed the baton to Simon Rijke.     

Rijke has an extensive track record in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. Previously he has held management positions at Sonneborn Refined Products and Merck Sharpe & Dohme (MSD).

‘The craftsmanship, niche position in the market and quality of the products convinced me to invest in Weighpack’ says Simon Rijke.

Weighpack designs, builds, installs and maintains tailor made packaging machines for customers in 50 countries globally.
‘In the last 45 years the Weighpack team has gained unique knowledge and vast experience about the fastener industry and its needs. The company reputation is very good and together with its innovative products it provides a solid base for the future. We will build on our current customers and markets and will grow through accelerated innovation and seeking access to new markets’ says Rijke. 

Rijke and the 30 Weighpack specialists will team up to realize the future goals. Under the new ownership Commercial Director Edward van der Ploeg will remain responsible for commercial business.
